pagebuilder widgets on posts page

Hi all,

I guess I didn’t realize that origami didn’t have a side bar, but no worries, I’ve used the rows and widgets to create one on each of my website pages.

However, when I try to create on on the “posts” page, it doesn’t work.
The rows don’t appear.

Any advice?

J

    Hi Joanne,

I need some clarification. What do you mean by the rows don’t appear? Did you set them, or are they blank? Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hey Alex,

Yes, of course…my apologizes. Upon second reading, I realize that post was terribly cryptic.

    The page is http://www.HomemadeElectrolyteDrink.com

Three simple pages. Landing page. Post Page and About Page.

The landing page I do not want a side bar.

On the about page, I easily created a simple side bar using the site origin widgets. Looks great, does the job I need.

I want to duplicate that look on the page where the posts appear. I am using the Origami theme.

However, when I duplicate exactly what I did on the About page to create that look on the post page, I get nadda… nothing…. zippo…..no widgets appearing on right hand side of the page to create a simple sidebar.

Thanks again, in advance for your patience.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joanne,

Okay so from what you’ve explained it’s possible that this could be a plugin conflict. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If this doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Ok I did turn off all the widgets, cleared the cache and still nothing.
I’ve sent admin password as you requested.

I did however turn the purchase button widget back on….

This is way over and beyond the call-of-duty….

Please feel free to send an invoice for your trouble…

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joanne,

    Don’t worry about that – I haven’t really done anything yet. :S

I don’t seem to be getting the email from WordPress with the login information – you’ll get notified of it when I do. Could you please manually assign the user account you set up for me with a password? You can do this by navigating to WP AdminUsersAll Users. Find the user account you created for me and click the name. Scroll down to the Generate Password button and click it. Copy the contents and click Update User.

Then please reply here with the password in your response. Please ensure to tick the private reply checkbox or you’ll post the password publicly. Please note that all email responses are public by default so please come to the website to reply.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joanne,

Please upload, and activate this child theme. It’ll add a sidebar to Origami and prevent it from showing up on the front page. You can adjust the sidebar at WP AdminAppearanceWidgets It’s not perfect but it’s a good start – tell me if any issues arise.

By the way, if you do want to reward us for what I’m doing, you could always upgrade to premium. :) I’ll be able to respond faster and you’ll get a bunch of cool features. For more information navigate to WP AdminAppearanceOrigami Premium
