I can’t comment another bug-report so I open a new one.
We got the same problem. After changing a headline some widgets have been empty for no reason and we tried to reset the content to an older revision.
It was possible to copy the contents of another language and enter the translated texts, but now some pages don’t allow to save or preview the content after editing. Even with the sql-dump it isn’t possible to recreate old contents.
Maybe it has something to do with the WordPress-update 2 days ago?
We are afraid the problem happens every now and then, because it would cost us always a lot of time to fix the contents after changing a headline or an image.
Hi Tobias,
We’ve managed to replicate this issue. Admittedly, it’s quite tricky to replicate this issue but a well established page would make it much easier to replicate. We’ve worked out the cause for this and are looking for possible fixes.
In the meantime, you can avoid this issue by temporarily changing to a different theme. Please note that this issue will remain for any saves made when the 2.5.12 was active. Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and deactivate/delete Page Builder by SiteOrigin. Click Add NewUpload Plugin and upload/activate this version.
Please note that the SiteOrigin Headline widget missing data sounds like a different issue. The above thread is purely about data loss from using revisions. We’re not aware of any issues with using the SiteOrigin Headline widget. To clarify, what specifically went missing?
