PageBuilder unable to Update Page with new changes – Latest version

5 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 5 years ago

Good morning,

I am trying to edit a school’s website that I support, since PageBuilder has updated to the latest version, I am clicking “Update Page”, it is then showing as updated on the edited page but then when you go to a Live version in an Incognito window, it will just never update.

Capture 1: https://ibb.co/7nWLj1s
Capture 2: https://ibb.co/3z57S7V

Capture 1 above shows the page updated through the Edit View, Capture 2 shows the Live version with the link and words still there.

This is extremely frustrating so I’d be grateful if someone could advise ASAP Please!

Many thanks,

Dan

    Hi Dan

    Thanks for reaching out.

Is Capture 1 supposed to be a page managed by Page Builder? If so, it looks like there is an error on the page causing Page Builder to fail. If that’s the case you can try opening your browser console. Here is how https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis. If there are errors in red text, please, send us a screenshot. Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

Here are two links below with HTML errors for that specific page I am trying to edit:

Hopefully, this makes some sort of sense!

    Many thanks,

    Dan

    Hi Dan

Thanks for the screenshots. The .live error is due to a plugin calling a function that was removed from WordPress 5.5. If you head over to Plugins > Add New and install the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin it’ll patch the issue and also let you know which plugin is causing the issue.

    Hi Andrew,

I have confirmed that Plugin led me in the right direction.
It told me the deprecated Gallery Plugin which I have disabled, then enabled a newer Gallery Plugin and this is now working again.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,

    Dan
