pagebuilder memory-hungry ?

8 years ago · Last reply by Andreas 8 years ago

Hi,

I’m running out my memory_limit of 64MB.
Until now I have 11 rows and 17 widgets in use and my site isn’t finished yet.
Memory: 35.73 of 64 MB (56%)

The more rows and widgets I use, the less memory I have available.
For example, I added a row with 2 widgets (editor, contact form)
Memory: 36.35 of 64 MB (57%)

Is this a normal?

How much memory you need if you have a website with hundred sites build with pagebuilder? Its impossible to have so much memory???

I use theme north, installed plugins:

1.pagebuilder
2.so widgets bundle
3.so animate
4.so css
5.livemesh so widgets
6.server IP & memory usage display,
7.simple lightbox
Memory: 30.43 of 64 MB (48%) | WP LIMIT: 40 MB

    Hi Cyclist030,

Yes. That’s normal memory usage – it’s by no means excessive. It should be noted the total amount of memory usage you’re dealing with is very low. To clarify, 64MB is the minimum memory WordPress requires and that’s before factoring in plugins. Plugins such as WooCommerce recommend much higher than that – such 128 MB.

It sounds like you’re using a VPS. I would recommend at least 512MB total memory.

Yes, I’m using a VPN and I can only upgrade to different hosting package, too increase my memory. It’s my first website with wordpress, I have not thought about this things.

    Thanks for reply Alex

May be it’s helpful for other Users, wich have same issue with to less memory_limit.

The Support gave me a hint to upgrade my php version to 7.1., ()I was running 5.6)

So I edit the .htaccess of my wp-installation with this snippet

    AddHandler x-httpd-php7.1 .php

The usage sank from 65% to 50%! :)
