Hey
If i’m adding just text in the pagebuilder tab. It works. If I add images or links and click on update everything is empty or jumps to the text tab.
Also did all updates, on new pages same effect, if I update an existing page or open en existing page to edit, it’s empty.
On my testsystem it’s working perfect. Same config just other php / mysql versions. I have this problem since updateing the plugin to:
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.5.8
Page Builder by SiteOrigin 2.3.1
If I make a new empty site and go to pagebuilder add columns and widgets (text), it’s working even with publishing the site. If i edit the page again, still working. Just if I add an Images or a Link and click on update, it’s jumps to the text tab and not updateing the content.
Any idea?
Hi Tifftafftuff,
Could you clarify what you mean by, jumps to the text? What theme are you using on your empty site?
Theme: AccessPress Pro, from AccessPress
If I create a new page, there are 3 Tabs (Visual, Text, Page Builder). When I switch to Page Builder and add some rows with just normal text, everything is working fine. When I add an Image or a Link to the text and click the “update page” button. Everything is in text mode and not in Page Builder mode. Same issue with pages they are in Page Builder mode with images / links etc. if I edit those pages and click on update, the page builder mode jumst to “text tab” and everything is text. If there are multiple rows and I edit one element with links / images, the element is empty if I click “edit”.
Before the update, I didn’t had this problems. On my testsystem also no problems. Just on livesystem…
Livesystem:
PHP 5.3.3-7
MySQL 5.1.73
I know the versions are EOL, but there are on a client hosting…
Maybe somthing cus of the old php / mysql version?
Hi Tifftafftuff,
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
You can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hey Alex S
The same plugins are also on the testsystem. If i deactivate the plugins, I’m scared the Livesite will be messed up. I would do duplicator backup, but from testsystem to livesystem duplicator didn’t work because of the old mysql Version on the Livesystem. So I had to do all the page builder rows again.
I will meet the client in a week, so I can tell how we can try to fix the problem. If you don’t see another workaround. I think it’s because the old php + mysql versions. I never had similar problems on the testsystem.
Hi Tifftafftuff,
I’m not willing to rule that out but, if I’m honest, I don’t think that’s the major issue here. Do you have another test site you can upload a copy of the site to try it?
Alternatively, could you send me a copy of it and so I can test it locally? You’ll have to upload it to a third party host, like dropbox. If you want to keep this data hidden please tick the “private reply” checkbox at the bottom right of the post.
Hey Alex S
I will check if I can make a copy from the livesystem. Duplicator wasn’t working from (test to live – because of the old mysql) hope it’s working from live to test. I only can test it on a newer version (php & mysql). Don’t have an old php / mysql system.
Will tell you or give you access if it’s ready or done.
