PageBuilder center row column

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,
In a page made in PageBuilder I have a row with 3 equal columns from left to the right.
Each column have a SiteOrigin Editor widget.

At 780 px each column will fall into a new row.
They are aligned to the left.

Why aren’t they not centred in responsive design?
How to get them centred on a tablet?

I have tried some CSS in the “Edit row” section on the cell but
can’t get it right .

Thanks!

    Hi ERobert

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

I tweaked the theme quite a lot and I’m very satisfied with the result so far to be
    first time with WordPress.
And of course with help for you guys also.

I just want the three spots/splashes under the slider to be centred on a tablet.
Now they are aligned to the left.

    Thanks!

Awesome :) Glad to hear you’re making progress.

To answer your original question. Centering in CSS isn’t always as easy as saying text-align: center; There isn’t a single way to center all content. It depends on the widget in use.

You can handle centring yourself though. In each widget you’ve inserted widget styles right? Try adding the following declaration to the existing styles you’ve added to each widget:

    margin: 0 auto

Yes I tried this but couldn’t get it to work.
In the row section I set a class name on the cells and the css for that class in the Custom CSS.

I’m not seeing this declaration there. Would you like me to try quickly? Just need a set of admin details in that case.

    Hi,
Now its there on the start page.
Decrease the browser window and you see the squares are aligned to the left.
    I want them centred.

And here is a screen shot of the Page builder:

    Its solved!
I found what I was doing wrong.

It works if I add the class to the widget styles/widget class and
not to the row styles/cell class.

    Thanks!
