My page builder plug in seems to be conflicting with learn dash. I am able to use page builder to create a new course in learn dash or post on my blog, but when I go to edit a course, then I just see text and no builder. Plus any changes that I make in the text box doesn’t save.
This error happens when I try to edit courses that were created previous to the learn dash 3. Anything created in learn dash 3 seems to work fine.
I have updated all of my plugins. Plus, I’ve deactivated all plugins besides learn dash and page builder and the problem still happens. When I deactivate page builder, then I can edit the courses just fine, but then all of my page builder pages are ruined. When I reactivate page builder then the course goes back to the previous edit.
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Please, could you go to Plugins and let us know the version of Page Builder you’re using?
When the issue occurs in the WordPress admin, please, check the browser console for errors, if there are errors present, please take a screenshot and upload to imgur.com or the sharing site of your choice and send us the link.
Thanks
Hello,
I am running page builder 2.10.6
A copy of the screenshot of error that I find is here: https://scioacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-9.43.31-AM.png
Thank you for your help.
Thanks, there are several possible causes of the initial 500 error you see there the console. To begin troubleshooting, try working through the first two options outlined here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/. htaccess and memory.
Please, also consider opening a support ticket with LearnDash. It’s a premium plugin so it should come with premium support. Page Builder is free to download so their team can easily test with it. LearnDash isn’t, so short of emailing and requesting a complimentary copy, we aren’t able to test locally as we would normally. In the case of a premium plugin conflicting with our free plugin, it’s always appreciated if the premium support team could help out. Thanks for your consideration.
If the htaccess and memory steps aren’t helpful, please, enable debug and check the debug log file for further information. Here is how to go about that: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/. Thanks.
I have completed all of the steps that you listed. Nothing is fixing them. It looks like Siteorigin is conflicting with Learndash and not using the new Learndash update? One of the errors is listing Learndash 2.6.4
I have messaged Learndash with the issue, but they haven’t been much help.
I have attached the debug log from my tests. If you see anything that may help me solve this please let me know. I very much appreciate your willingness to help me and realize that once I am sure that Siteorigin’s page builder will work with Learndash that I should just buy the premium license.
Thank you again
Thanks for your feedback and understanding. My notes regarding support are just a practical look at the resources available. If one plugin is free, another premium and it’s still unclear where the issue lies, it makes sense for the premium side of the issue to take a look. We certainly do the same when there is an issue with our SiteOrigin Premium plugin and a free plugin.
The forum doesn’t support attachments, it proved too much of an issue to monitor for spam. Please, upload the error log to any sharing site like Dropbox, Drive or WeTransfer and send us the link. Thanks.
