PageBuilder adding unwanted Line Breaks and Paragraphs

Hi,

the editor keeps adding
tags right after images (resulting in a blank row beneath an image) and also wraps lines of code from shortcodes into tags (again creating unwanted blank rows). I’ve seen this has been marked as resolved before but I have the latest SiteOrigin version and it keeps happening. Any solution?

We have the Widgets Bundle installed. The breaks/paragraphs get added using Image widget, Rich Editor widget, even WordPress’ own HTML widget.

We’re using WP 4.3.1 – could it be related to that?

Thanks!

    Hi Primozj,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

Also, would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Primoz,

Thanks for that. For whatever reason, I was unable to replicate it with the provided layout. Hm, could you try a quick plugin conflict test? Also, could you clarify why you haven’t updated WordPress (trying to rule that out as related)?

For reference, here’s the plugin conflict test: Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue. Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
