I use the Talon Theme (free), and I use the Site origin page builder on multiple pages, where I can make edits, save them, and they load. However, one page in particular does not seem to pull the saved changes.
I’ve tried several things and I am stumped and frustrated.
-Googling it ( I haven’t found this specific one-off page issue)
-Rebuilding the page and the builder
-clearing all caches
-uninstalling plugins
-yes, my plugins are all up to date
-testing on a test site (which also has the same issue on the same page)
-checking the html for any weird characters
-checking and changing settings on my user/settings panel in wordpress.
-saving with no changes
-deleting the page-builder block and importing the .json file.
-saving the page without page builder on it at all.
No luck reflecting any of the changes, but the changes are in fact saved in the data file, they just don’t show up on the live page. This has been an ongoing issue, and I am not sure when it started. I lived with the page as is for a few months because I didn’t need any edits.
Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.
Hi dein
Thanks for posting your question.
If possible, please:
– Take a screenshot of the page while editing. Upload it to any online location like WeTransfer or Drive and send the link.
– If possible, send a link to the page concerned.
Hi Andrew, I ended up just re-building the page as a new one (with identical publishing date, title, slug, etc.), and then promptly deleted the old page to avoid duplicate content. Now it’s looking how I want it to look. Private Snippet
Kind of a last resort, but nothing else seemed to work as I had tried everything else I could think of. It’s almost like that old page was a corrupted file. I tried just making changes to the page without site origin page builder as well and that also did not display the changes (but would save them), so it could have been an issue that was not related to the plugin.
I am hoping that I will be able to make further edits to the new page now. I haven’t touched it for any other edits since.
Thanks for the update; I’m glad to hear you’re making progress. If the issue re-occurs, please, let us know.
