Hi
I have launched my website, https://www.successfulonlinesales.com, but there is a weird error, that I can’t seem to find the solution for. This is the problem:
When I scroll down the page, a small arrow page up button is supposed to show in the right side of the page. You know, the little arrow that you click to quickly return to the top of the page. But instead of an arrow (or a square with an arrow in it), there is just a little square. When you press the square, you will return to the top of the page, so I know it’s the page up button – it just looks weird and wrong.
Can anybody take a moment to check it out and see if you recognize the problem?
Just go to https://www.successfulonlinesales.com and scroll down a little, and then you will see the weird square button in the right side.
If I remember correctly, the button started looking weird after I installed Page Builder. But I hope that’s not the issue, because I can’t really build the site without Page Builder.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Can you please temporarily disable the cache plugin you’re using? I ask as I suspect your cache is causing this issue – specifically, the minty functionality. Once we know the cause for this issue we’ll out a work around.
If that doesn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex
Thanks a lot, that was great advice :-)
I found out, that it was the plugin “Fast Velocity Minify”, that was causing the problem. So I guess I just have to go look for another CSS, Java and HTML minify/compression plugin.
Do you have any ideas?
Thomas
Hi again
Tried Autoptimize, and it looks like it’s working fine, so I’m keeping that one :-)
Cheers,
Thomas
