Page Template Settings Blank

By VWFeature, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

The documentation for Vantage says, Appearance > Customize > Theme Template Settings
and your video shows the left panel with multiple choices (at 0:02 but I can’t find THAT video now), but I see none. I have
“You are customizing
Page Template Settings” and below that there’s nothing.

I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins (can they create problems even if installed but not activated?) deleting partial pages, clearing cookies, reloading, signing in again, and looked in the Vantage and Page builder docs, plus these forums. Nada.

I had had 2017, 2016, 2015, 2011, Baseline, North, Klasik, Klasik framework, Bootstrap basic, and Adventurous themes installed, to look at; I still had the Baseline “about us” page, which I deleted. I have multiple plugins ‘installed’ but not activated.

The problem is, I can’t get at the Masthead or footer without the Theme Template Settings.

I ALSO just doubled the menu by turning the ‘default menu’
(Theme Settings >Layout> Masthead Menu) to ’empty menu’ then back on.
This shows doubled in the ‘Customizing’ pages, but not in the regular editor.

Should I just delete everything and start over? I don’t have much more than a few headlines, subheaders, and a logo.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi VWFeature,

Page template settings are contextual and will only show what’s relevant at the time. For example, if you navigate to the blog page in the customizer preview the blog page settings will appear.

I’m unsure why you need the page template settings to make adjustments to the masthead or footer. You can make adjustments to them by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets or WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Widgets.

I’m unsure how you duplicated the menu, I can’t seem to replicate that issue using your instructions. Are you still experiencing this issue?
