Page Builder & WPML

Hi team,

Before submitting translations to icanlocalize though WPML, I checked the support section on Page Builder and followed the Translate panels_data.
Now a little time later, the first translations are coming in, but unfortunately they only show in the standard editor and not in Page Builder.

The result is an empty page on the website, and literally this is going to take a substantial time to get all in the right places.

Would it be possible for you to work with WPML to become a Multilingual Ready Plugin.

I am spending a little fortune on the translation, and it would just be perfect if the integration would just work.

I understand that it won’t necessarily help me at this moment, but ……

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John

    Thanks for your support.

We’ve looked at this on and off over the past year. Do you have a contact at WPML that you’ve chatted to that I can mail. It seems clients have had joy in the past but I never got all the details. My broad understanding was handling Page Builder followed the same route that you’d need to take to translate your site’s widgets if they were placed in normal widget areas. String Translation comes to mind.

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi slawek

Yes, we did work with WPML and Page Builder is now a fully compatible plugin. Unfortunately there was a small issue that came up with the WordPress 4.4 update. From what I’ve heard, there’s a fix coming in the next update of WPML that restores compatibility.

    Hey Greg,
    Thanks for the info.
My problem is that wpml modifies the ajax url from wp-admin/wp-ajax.php to wp-admin/en/wp-ajax.php
and this url does not exits, it show as 301 header status.
Will new update fix that also?
And when the update is scheduled to?
    All the best,
    Sławek

      Hi Sławek

We hope WPML will be able to resolve the problem soon. We’ll follow-up with them today. For now, you can temporarily restore functionality from Languages > Settings > Language URL format > Enable: Language name added as a parameter.
