I installed Page Builder and tried to use it. I’m doing what it says in the video but it’s not working at all. I can’t seem to add widgets to rows. The video said click on the row and add widget. I do that and instead of it putting the widget in the row for me to then edit it takes me into the widget editor. No matter what I put in there it doesn’t save it so I always end up with an empty row.
I had asked it to copy my text so I had the editor widget in one of the rows by default so I tried duplicating it but it won’t let me do that either
Hi,
To clarify, what video are you currently watching?
This may or may not help, but there’s a GIF of me adding a text widget to the row:
Is anything different happening for you?
Thanks Alex. When I installed Page Builder it refused to do that but today it seems to be working just fine.
So I tried it again now that it’s letting me add the editor widget. I created a row with the left side using two thirds and the right using one third. I put text into both and expected to see them side by side when I looked at my website, however it’s just put what should have been on the right below the text that should have been on the left. I added another row below of one single cell. That doesn’t appear on the page at all
Hi,
Are you editing a typical WordPress page or a theme-specific page (did you create the page or was it added for you)? I ask as it sounds like you’re editing a page that’s added by a theme. These sort of pages are typically very barebones and explain why certain things aren’t displaying correctly or not at all.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
I’m using a Bento theme

Hi,
I don’t remember Bento having anything like what I described. Hm. Try navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the Layout tab. Set the Use Legacy Layout Engine set to Always. How does that look? If it doesn’t look very good, is the home page the above outlined set up? I ask as there’s only a second row.
