Page Builder Vanishes after Save Draft or Publish

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

We are trying to use the Page builder for new posts. On the initial add new post we are able to see the page builder interface but after hitting save draft or publish we no longer have the option to edit the post in the page builder. Here is a screenshot hosted on my WP gallery. https://mainstreetmowing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Screen-Shot-2019-07-29-at-12.01.45-PM.png

    Hi, thanks for posting.

    If you aren’t committed to using the Block Editor, you could install the Classic Editor plugin which would resolve the problem. For some reason, the page isn’t properly detecting Page Builder content, causing the contents to be moved to a classic block in the Block Editor.

    Alternatively, you could run a plugin conflict test. Let me know if you’d prefer to go that route and I’ll send instructions. Thanks.

    I would love the instructions. We like the page builder.

    Sure, the easiest solution would be to go to PluginsAdd New, search for and install the Classic Editor plugin. Alternatively, you can try to find the cause of the issue by running a plugin conflict test.

    //

    This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

    If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
