Page Builder Upgrade Problem

I really need help here. I’ve tried everything i know of and nothing works.

I updated (manually, this is my only choice based on my non-profit host not allowing write permissions) to PageBuilder Version 2.0.5 the other day. Now, creating pages shows nothing at all. I can add rows, widgets, and text to the widgets; text appears in the widget. I make changes, update the page, and when I view the page, it blank.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins (four total plugins), i’ve tried updating the page in multiple browsers (safari, chrome). I have not updated to WordPress 4.1 because I am weary of manually updating (trying to find a way for my nonprofit host to allow write permissions).

Am I missing something with the PageBuilder update?

I’m open to all suggestions/ideas/thoughts on the PageBuilder issue and gaining write permissions.

when you make the pages, do you have the option set to YES to allow the page builder to copy the content to the post editor? I do see some content that the widgets make in your page. So at least part of the page builder is putting content into your site.

Thanks for the response. I do not see the option set to YES to allow the page builder to copy the content to the post editor. Permissions issue?

      hey theme buddies,

the copy content option was already enabled.
      Other thoughts?

      thank you.

Without logging into your site to see how it works, I don’t have any other thoughts. I would need access to your site to make any further recommendations.

What page are you having trouble with?

      • 10 years, 5 months ago ThemeBuddies

well, I feel like there is an issue with your installation of WordPress. I noticed that the plugins installed on your site won’t update. Any attempt to update them fails. This could be what is causing your plugins to not work. I suspect it’s not just the page builder that isn’t functioning.

if you go into the Admin area and select the “Settings” menu, there should be an option for the page builder in that menu. If you click on that, there is an option for “Copy Content” Copy content from Page Builder into the standard content editor.

See if that is enabled. If it is not, check it, save settings and see if that works for you.

I think putting in a support ticket with you host provider is the way to go. I think the fact that the plugins won’t update or install from the backend of WordPress is a great sign of a bigger issue. They may be able to figure it out. I have never seen a host that did not allow plugins to update until now.
