Page Builder tab missing in product description and excerpt

Hello there,

I am using Woocemmerce and would like to use Page Builder for the description and excerpt of the products, whowever the tab of the Page Builder does not show up. It does show up when editing pages and posts. Is it possible to activate it for products as well?
Thank you very much!

Greetings
Stan

Oh, unfortunately I see that there is still an issue:
I use Visual Composer to customize the single product page as it is shown in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhqOQdR7K_8). So when I use PageBuilder in the description of the product, the Woocommerce elements (like the product image, add to cart button etc.) of the product do not show up on the page anymore. What only shows up on the page is the description of the product that I made with the PageBuilder.
Do you know how it would be possible to solve this issue?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Stan

Thanks for your very detailed video. To take a step back for a moment; Visual Composer (VC) and Page Builder (PB) aren’t really ideal to be run side by side. They’re both quite resource heavy in the admin and they both do the same job. Is there something specific that you need Page Builder for that you can’t do with VC?

Then moving to the issue at hand. To my knowledge, the components you used in your video to construct the single product page in VC aren’t available in Page Builder. SiteOrigin hasn’t developed them and as far as I know, a third-party developer hasn’t either. Third-party developers release new plugins for our Widgets Bundle regularly and we aren’t informed when that happens, that’s the reason I’m saying “to my knowledge”. The process with VC looks super cool, it’s something I’ll definitely suggest to the team here at SiteOrigin.

Sorry, you can ignore my first paragraph, I understand now.

    Good morning Andrew,

happy to hear from you that quickly again! :)
Oh, actually this is not my video, I found it online to show you how I use VC to customize the single product page. So basically I use VC only to create a “customized single product page template”, then I create a product and “link” it (as shown in the video at 0:46) to that template for the product page to take the shape of it.
This seems to be the most convinient way by now to customize the product page, that I found on the internet and allows me to do changes of the product pages at once by changing the “template page”.
I use PB to set up colomns and add widgets in the description of product page. So yes, if VC and PB do not like to work together, I will probably have to use shortcodes instead I guess. I just find using PB in the description of the product page faster and super convenient. :)
But thank you very much anyway! At least people who would like to use PB without VC can profit from this threat. :)

    Greetings

And yeah, if it would be possible to customize product pages via PageBuilder in the future, the same way as it is done with VC, that would be really cool! :)

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your feedback. Definitely, it would super handy if Page Builder could build a single product page like VC. I’ll suggest that to our lead dev this afternoon. Thanks for sending your question in. If anything else comes up, please, let us know :0

    All the best.
