Page Builder stops me editing any of my pages

Hi. Sorry to trouble you.

When Page Builder is active, I cannot edit any pages from the dashboard. I simple get “Oops! That page can’t be found”. It looks to me as if it is not even trying to open the editor but simply wants to display the page and cannot find it.

When Page Builder is not active, editing is fine but then, of course, the website doesn’t display properly.

I have deactivated every other plugin so that only Page Builder is running. The problem remains.

I have unistalled and re-installed Page Builder.

I am using the Moesia theme from aThemes.

I am very confused. Can you please help me?

Thank you very much,
Peter

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Peter,

That’s odd. Does temporarily changing the theme to a default WordPress theme help?
What version of SiteOrigin Page Builder are you using? You can check by navigating to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins.
Has this always happened or just recently started happening?

Hi Alex. Thanks for your reply and sorry about my slowness.

    It certainly is odd.

I have just updated to version 2.4.21 of Page Builder and the problem remains.

This hasn’t always happened. I have noticed it only recently but I had a long break when I wasn’t editing this website so I don’t know how long it has been the case. Prior to that though, it definitely worked well.

I activated the Twenty Fifteen theme and the problem remained i.e. trying to edit a page produced the “Oops! That page can’t be found” message.

Thank you very much for your help. I can get around this by deactivating Page Builder when I want to edit the site and (hopefully) remembering to activate it again when I have finished but that, obviously, is not very convenient or what is supposed to happen.

    I appreciate your help,
    Peter

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Peter,

Based on your reply, I suspect your service provider may have recently changed some security settings to an overly strict level. This, in turn, would be causing this issue for you.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks.

I’ve run a few tests and I suspect your host may be, for whatever reason, blocking SiteOrigin Page Builder. I would recommend contacting them and see if they’ve recently made any security setting changes that may have caused this.
