Page Builder Stopped working – no suggestions are helping so far (Theme: Barberia)

I made a website using a 3rd party wordpress theme (https://themeforest.net/item/barberia-barber-hair-salon-responsive-template/11450277) about a year ago. It’s hosted by GoDaddy. I believe it was since the latest WordPress update, Page Builder stopped working. I can see it at the bottom of each page, but only text in the editing window. I try to add rows or widgets using the builder (that’s no longer sitting nicely at the top of each editor window, but hidden down at the bottom), but nothing happens when I hit the button to insert. When I try to add a new page to see if the builder works, it has a 3rd tab, but it says ‘undefined’ instead of Page Builder.

Figuring out this part of websites is not my forté. I usually have my web host set everything up and I just start using the theme.

Suggestions I’ve tried that did not work:
– deactivating plugins, one at a time
– deactivating plugins, all at once, clearing cache
– temporarily using a different theme
– installed latest java
– updated PHP to latest version 5.6 (as the theme requested)
– cleared cache again
– tried contacting third party theme designer a month ago with absolutely no response.
… ahh!! What do I do?

Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jennimorin,

Do you have the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder installed – 2.4.10?

Version 10.0.0 is what it says is installed. Not the right one, I assume?

    Hi Jennimorin,

No. You’re using a fork (a version based on our code but not actively developed by us) of SiteOrigin Page Builder. The version the fork is based on, isn’t compatible with the latest version of WordPress, 4.5.

We recommend directly contacting your theme developers if you’re using any of their themes or widgets that come bundled with a page builder. If you aren’t, I would recommend uninstalling their fork (your data will be safe) and installing the main version. Do not have both a fork and the main version activate at the same time as your site is likely to completely break due to an error.

The theme developer has extremely poor customer service and won't respond.
So I should delete the fork, then install the main version… And it will keep my formatting? Or will I have to redo?

Thank you so much for your help

    Hi Jennimorin,

Yes, but any theme exclusive widgets won’t be useable. Those are directly added to the fork and cannot be used when the fork is inactive. :(

    Sorry mate. :(

Well, happy day to me. Lol. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.
    Thanks again :)
