    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

From the looks of it, it looks like this is a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If the above doesn’t help and you’re not using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

It is an issue with page builder plugin.
When I desactivate the plugin, the site update but looks weird. When I activate the plugin. It doesnt allow any changes in my whole website! Clearing the browsers, using other broswers, rebooting or using other computers didn’t help. I have the same problem Lucie had.

It happen about a month ago and the theme is the same since last year.

    Hello,
I am having the same problem since few days ago when I updated few plugins including Page Builder by SiteOrigin.
I am not able to not only preview or update pages, but also edit them at all in the WordPress Dashboard.

I disabled all my plugings except Page Builder by SiteOrigin and problem is still persisting.
I would greatly appreciate your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

Okay I’ve updated the linked thread with the solution – had to remove personal information for privacy reasons. Lucie’s issue was Page Builder not being enabled for pages – not an issue with SiteOrigin.

Regardless, if the solution for her wasn’t able to resolve your issue please run the plugin conflict test. Please do not disable SiteOrigin Page Builder as if that’s disabled the test will reveal nothing.

Hello Alex, where should I look for the solution? I coundlt find it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

It’s my first and last reply in that thread. (which obviously wasn’t the case originally but I’ve adjusted it to make the solution more abundant)

If you are referring to “”I Make Changes and Nothing Happens”” that link. It didn’t help and if you are referring to another link I am not sure where to find it.

Also, is it possible to give us an older version of this plugin? Let’s say a plugin of Mars 2016?? It was working fine before the last few updates. I’m not sure which one start to bug my website and not let it update. I did have W3 plugin installed a few months ago But we removed it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

I’m referring to the link you posted, Thread: page builder by site origin – I can’t update my pages although as suggested it’s unlikely to solve your issue.

Just to clarify, this is not a widespread issue with SiteOrigin page Builder. Reverting to a previous version may work for you but it’s purely by coincidence and will only be avoiding the real issue. In other words, I do not recommend doing this. This is the oldest version you’re able to use as this version included a compatibility patch for the WordPress 4.5. Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and find and deactivate SiteOrigin Page Builder. Then click delete page builder. Then click Add NewUpload Plugin and install the previous version.

If you would like me to find the real issue; please create me a temporary admin account so we can log in and find what is causing you issues?

    Hi Kc Ca,

I’m not having issues making content edits to your pages and posts. Could you please provide a link to a page you know has issues? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

I can edit. But when I update a page, any update, page builder is blocking the new modifications and only show me an image of 1-2 months ago.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

I’m not sure I’m following. I was able to make edits without issue. Hm. Could you clarify by what you mean update? Update, in my books, means the same as edit, well at least in this context.

Could you also clarify about this image you’re referring to? Could you link me to that page so I can inspect it?

  16. 8 years, 3 months ago Kc Ca

By update i mean, clicking the green update button on the right side of the edit page so it can be publish.

To give you an example, we added a video in the http://www.drrdnutrition.com/media page. You can only see it when you are in editing mode when you are modifying the page. But the new video doesnt show up live on the website! :/

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kc Ca,

I’m confused, there is no green button – only a blue one which is labelled, “Mettre à jour” which I presume translates to roughly what the English button says, Update.

I’m also seeing the page as expected – unless of course you’ve removed the video. To validate this, I’m going to put a small “test” at the bottom of the page to verify that I’m able to without issue “update” pages.

Hm. Could you take a screenshot of “editing mode”? I just want to verify we’re accessing the same page.

  18. 8 years, 3 months ago Kc Ca

for some reasons now it works, I am able to edit and update my website and see the result live.

I typed the "TEST" in the title and it showed.

I just lost the last video I uploaded and the edits I did But that's fine I can do it again.
