Page Builder & Seo Yoast – Collaboration

My issue relates to an earlier posting “Seo doesn’t work with page builder” by Rick G. 28 Mar 2014. I reference this, so I can keep my below message whole.

I too am looking to remedy relative to the same Jordan points out “content inside the text box of the Page Builder and SEO by Yoast plugin does not recognize text contained in there.” Likewise, as John points out:

Article Heading: Yes (1)
Page title: Yes (1)
Page URL: Yes (1)
Content: No
Meta description: Yes (1)

Per your guidance, I activated the plugin. I see “Visual Editor” [Appearance > Widgets] under the list of “Available Widgets”. And, to the Right side of this list I see “Sidebars”.

As the Admin, if I am in the “Right Place”, then here’s where I begin to get lost. Its not clear to me, how to go about using this Visual Editor instead of the text widget as you suggest. I see Main Sidebar, with 5 widgets added. I see Top Bar (Above Header), also Header Right, Footer (3 widgets columns), and Lower Footer… each of these four sidebars have no widget added to it.

Can you advise on the next steps how I go about using this widget relative to enabling SEO by Yoast to see Content… per using Page Builder, creating Pages.

Thanks for clearing up what I was trying to say Weed TV. My “Content: No” problem still happening.

  3. 6 years, 2 months ago Andrew Misplon Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Guys

Here is a screenshot of a page running Page Builder content only in Black Studio’s Visual Editor with Content: Yes in WordPress SEO:

    https://siteorigin.com/?attachment_id=2489

To confirm, once installed the Black Studio TinyMCE is called Visual Editor. In Page Builder click the + button to add a new widget, then search for Visual Editor.

Rick are you certain you’re getting Content: Yes with the identical content on a page not running Page Builder and Visual Editor widget? Please send me a set of temporary login details to [email protected] if that’s the case.

Thank you Andrew, not to get hung-up on widget-titles but per my installation, its called “Rich Text – Visual Editor”. Using this widget does not remedy the problem.

As noted in my initial posting, the only place I see “Visual Editor”, that specific title, is [Appearance > Widgets].

    (Your welcome Rick.)

Ya, those aren’t the images I intended to display. Please use link provided.

Andrew, to assist you with the issue Rick is having, and I believe the question you are asking him, I created the following test for “Content” to confirm SEO Yoast is working.

    Please view here: http://weedtv.com/test-weedtv/?preview=true&preview_id=2758&preview_nonce=c03e1152b4#prettyPhoto

Sorry, posted the wrong link above.

    Please view here: http://weedtv.com/test-weedtv/

    Strange, check this out:

When I created the “test-weedtv” page, first, I inserted text via Text tab, (Save Draft & Preview Page) to confirm SEO Yoast is working, and that the content is displaying correctly via web.

Next, I added the image (above) via Page Builder to display for you the result “Content: Yes (3)”. I saved draft, previewed page, and guess what, initial content does not display, as you see by viewing the page – only the image.

Selecting the Text Tab, content is still there.

  8. 6 years, 2 months ago Andrew Misplon Hi, I Work Here

Guys before I dive deeper into your answer – the specific widget name does matter. I’m using the Black Studio TinyMCE plugin. Once installed it’s called just “Visual Editor”:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/

Can you head to Plugins and check it’s installed and then check that’s the widget you are inserting?

You won’t see Visual Editor when inserting widgets into Page Builder, you need to hit the + button to add a new widget and then search for it – that might be the missing piece here.

Let me know how that goes and thanks everyone for their patience and input.

  9. 6 years, 2 months ago Andrew Misplon Hi, I Work Here

Enter Visual Editor as a search term in the field indicated.

  10. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

As indicated in my initial post “Per your guidance, I activated the plugin.” Yes, Black Studio TinyMCE Widget.

However the only place I see specific widget name/title “Visual Editor” is in [Appearance > Widgets] under the list of “Available Widgets”.

Following your next instruction, the image directly above, once I begin to type “Visual…” the only selection presented to select is “Rich Text – Visual Editor”. Nothing else appears to select.

I deactivated/activated the plugin, in one instance. I also deleted/reinstalled in another instance. Neither of these actions triggered any resolve to gain the specific widget name/title “Visual Editor” to display when typing it into “Add new widget – filter” per image above.

Not sure what to try next.

Is “Rich Text – Visual Editor” a widget made available given the activation of your plugin?

  11. 6 years, 2 months ago Andrew Misplon Hi, I Work Here

I’ve never seen a widget called Rich Text – Visual Editor, just Visual Editor. Perhaps it’s bundled with your theme.

What you could try is de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. Does Visual Editor become available now?
You could also try with another theme activated to see if anything changes.

Failing that please send a set of temp login details to [email protected] and I’ll take a look.

  12. 6 years, 2 months ago Greg Priday Hi, I Work Here

It’s also possible that the Black Studio TinyMCE widget was renamed again in a recent update. I’ll check this when I’m at my desktop in the morning.

  13. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

If it helps to know, I learned from the client, your plugin page Builder was purchased, and is activated.

  14. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

Thanks Greg. I thought the same. However, why do we see it in one place, with the specific name Andrew refers, and in another, name not available. Yet, a name closely resembling it is available – to your point. I’m baffled.

  15. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

Thanks Andrew (big thumbs up!) for all your help.

    I’ll proceed to do so.

  16. 6 years, 2 months ago Greg Priday Hi, I Work Here

And just to double check, are you sure you’re using Page Builder by SiteOrigin? It’s a free plugin, so if your client says they purchased it, then it’s possible you’re using a different plugin. Do you know where they purchased it from?

  18. 6 years, 2 months ago Greg Priday Hi, I Work Here

It looks like you’re using a fork of Page Builder. This means they’ve used our code to create their own modified version. They’re allowed to do this, but we don’t support forks. You’ll need to contact the new developer for help.

  19. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

    Wow!

  20. 6 years, 2 months ago Weed TV

Thanks Greg. Considering your Free version works with SEO Yoast, I’ll begin transitioning.

FYI – I got to this forum, logging in for support, from the link above (plugin) provided.

Greg, I deactivated ALL (3) Bunyad plugins.

I activated Page Builder by SiteOrigin. Confirmation, tested Contact with SEO Yoast, using your Page Builder “Visual Editor” works fine!

    Thank you!
