Page Builder Seo by Yoast and Visual Editor – not working together

Hi
Further to this thread.

Page Builder & Seo Yoast – Collaboration

I have just built a site and have the same original issues.

I hope to have checked everything as previously stated but still get content – no.

Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
Deactivate | Edit
Adds a new “Visual Editor” widget type based on the native WordPress TinyMCE editor.

Version 2.1.2 | By Black Studio

Page Builder by SiteOrigin
Deactivate | Edit | Support Forum | Newsletter
A drag and drop, responsive page builder that simplifies building your website.

Version 1.5.3

my site is http://www.meteormotorsport.com – some pages show good seo as the site was migrated and has the original text on the page – but looking at https://www.meteormotorsport.com/suspension/ast-suspension/
this page was built only in Page Builder – using the visual editor.- Content is still not being included by Yoast.

Any help gratefully received.

Just to add to the confusion I run another site that uses Page Builder – I used the text box Not the Visual editor and that works correctly with SEO by Yoast??????

  2. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

Looking around and reading other posts etc I can see that although I have the “Copy content from Page Builder into the standard content editor.” enabled in the settings it is not doing so.

On my other site this is happening correctly.

If i deactivate and delete page builder and then re install will I loose all formatting?

  3. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

    It gets even more bizarre.

    https://www.meteormotorsport.com/suspension/ast-suspension/ = Content -No
    https://www.meteormotorsport.com/suspension/ast-suspension/ast-4100/ = Content-yes

    Built exactly the same way?

  4. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

OK so the fault is definitely to do with the text not being copied to the regular editor box.

I am going to recreate the page from scratch and see what happens.

Could it be to do with the original migration?

  5. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

No migration is not the issue.

I created a brand new page and I still have the content issue. I have check spelling etc and its all correct.

I have also looked at other pages such as Nitron which have the same error – ???????????

  6. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

    Getting annoyed now.

Just created another new page for a different manufacturer and it all worked great.

    No continuity to the error!

Hi I was wondering if you guys had had time to look at this issue. It seems similar to one reported later – see above. That thread seems to have received some response but not this one.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Simon

    Thanks for the wait.

No, if you delete Page Builder and re-install there won’t be any data or formatting loss. Make a backup from Tools > Export before doing so though, never hurts.

Is this site on a different host to the site that is working correctly with regards to this problem?
If they are with the same host then are they on the same server or are they on different servers?

  9. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

    Andrew

Both sites are with the same Host – GoDaddy. Managed wordpress.

Not sure if they are on the same server?

The puzzling thing for me is that why 2 out of 3 pages are fine and the 3rd NOT?

    All created the same way.

Before I uninstall and re install (after back up) you say there will be no data loss for Page builder. I can see that working OK where PageBuilder has copied the text to the original editor screen/box of WordPress but where it has not done so – making all the text only seen from within Page Builder I am not sure that will be the case?

    Hi, I Work Here

I can’t say what will happen in terms of Page Builder data re-appearing in the Visual tab after re-install. But in terms of Page Builder data being where you left it after re-install – that’ll be there.

Page Builder data is saved in the post meta array, with key panels_data. On save that’s copied to post_content. That’s how content is copied over to Visual/Text.

    OK that sounds safe then.

    Hi, I Work Here

Let us know how things progress.

  13. 9 years, 11 months ago Simon Rogers

I un installed and re installed. No change.

It affects most of my product pages and really hurts SEO badly!

I hope we can get this sorted as its a big issue.

    Andrew

I have just been updating pages on my other site http://www.caterhamhirewales.com and the same thing is now happening there also.

Vantage Premium Theme with up to date version of Page Builder.

Are we any further on with a solution? I am having to paste the text manually into the main WP editor to get SEO to recognise it. Its also not seeing the Images added with page builder.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for trying the re-install of Page Builder

Please send through an email to [email protected] with your url, a set of temporary login details and a link back to this thread so I can reference the mail (please don’t send an automated WP email).

This problem has occurred three or four times in total that we know of. So far we haven’t been able to re-create the challenge which makes it nearly impossible to troubleshoot. Content being copied from one variable to another on save is relatively simple so it also doesn’t leave us much to look at in terms of what might be the problem.

Going on a past clients fix of this problem there is a very strong chance this has something to do with the host environment, we just don’t know what.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Simon

We had a look at how content is copied to Visual / Text tabs. A separate request is created, this was to resolve a past issue we had with WooCommerce. This separate request could be the problem. The request is however using the WordPress admin url. Can you check that both your urls at Settings > General are set to https.

(To ease your mind a little while we look at this – your content is still available for indexing. Content not being copied over just means that WordPress SEO can’t run analysis on a page. It doesn’t mean that the content can’t be indexed).

    Hi Andrew,

I solved the problem temporary. Indeed it is a server environment problem. Let me give you a hint:

I run wordpress on uberspace (Shared Hosting), so my Apache-ServerName is eg. rokko.uberspace.de.
I added a domain eg. rokko.de (no, that’s not my page), but my Webspace does not know, that it IS rokko.de. That is the point where the Hoster messes things up.

So, the result of the POST in copy.php on Line ~33 is a 404, not the real content of the post.

I solved the problem by hardcoding in copy.php the following:

    $request = wp_remote_post( admin_url('admin-ajax.php?action=siteorigin_panels_get_post_content'),

    to

    $request = wp_remote_post( http://rokko.uberspace.de/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=siteorigin_panels_get_post_content,

But that’s just a temporary fix.

    Kind regards,
    Rokko

Sorry, I forgot the quotes in the second code-box.

    Regards,
    Rokko
