I’m on WordPress 5.0.1 under PHP 7.2 using the Vantage 1.8.2 theme as a child theme and PageBuilder 2.9.7
I’m using the “Custom Home Page” feature (which is either a feature of Vantage or PageBuilder – I don’t know which one). I copied a pre-built layout and now I’m trying to make adjustments on it to create a certain look/feel.
I’ve tried to add a background image to a row. I add it and set it as parallex, click DONE to get out of the row edit and scroll to the bottom and click SAVE HOME PAGE. It saves. Then I go back into edit on the same row and the background image (and parallex) settings have reverted back to their defaults.
I have deactivated all non-SiteOrigin plugins and it still behaves this way. It would appear to be a bug. I didn’t find anything like it in the forums (I might have missed it).
Any idea of what I can do?

That’s quite odd. Does this issue occur when you edit the page directly? For reference, you can do this by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceHome Page and click Edit as Page.

When I do “edit as page” the background image parameters are saved correctly! At least I have a work around now – though that is quite odd as you say that it doesn’t work in the custom home page editor environment.
