Page Builder preventing page updates

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

We use SiteOrigin Page Builder plugin on our site ensafe.com

We recently wanted to make an update to our Privacy Policy

Changes that we make are saved successfully, but are not reflected on the live version of the site.

Using the health check plugin I was able to place the site into “troubleshooting” mode which disables all plugins and reverts itself to the default theme (from the perspective of the logged in user; real visitors are still presented the live site). Upon checking the privacy policy in troubleshooting mode, I can see the updated version. I was then able to individually reactivate plugins, re-checking the privacy policy each time, until I recreated the problem (seeing the old version again).

When PageBuilder is activated, we are seeing an old version of the page. When PageBuilder is deactivated, our updates are reflected appropriately. Any advice on what might be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi JJ

    Thanks for reaching out.

It looks like you’re using a minification or minification and caching plugin. Was the cache cleared after making changes to the Privacy Policy page?

Thanks. What change are you expecting to see on the privacy page? Please, let us know a line or paragraph we can check.

Thank you again for your help. Essentially, the page had been entirely reformatted with one large column holding text instead of two. I was able to “fix” the issue by getting the contents of the existing page with “copy all content” option, pasting it into a new page and updating the links. The original version (that I couldn’t get to reflect changes) has been moved to https://www.ensafe.com/privacy-policy-old/
