Hello. I’m having an issue with Page Builder. When the plugin is activated it rewrites current (and newer posts) with older posts I’ve published several years ago. When I deactivate the plugin, every posts reverts back to normal. I’m not quite sure how to resolve this issue.
Current WordPress version: 5.6.1
Hi, thanks for posting your question.
Please, could you let us know a bit more about what you mean by rewrites posts? If you’d like to upload screenshots you could use Imgur.com or any sharing site and send us the link. Thanks again.
Hello, thanks for the reply.
I probably shouldn’t have said “rewrite”. When the plugin is activated it turns every post on my page to older posts from years ago. The only thing that isn’t’ affected is the featured image. When I go back into the editor and view the post, everything looks as it should but as soon as I preview the post or view the live post, it is replaced by an older post.
I don’t think the screenshots will help much because you’re just going to see a post that looks like a regular post, there’s nothing that really stands out unless you know what’s supposed to be there. If you think differently, I can send a link. if there is anything else I can do to help a bit more with the context of the issue, please let me know. Thanks
Thanks for the update.
Did you perhaps use Page Builder in the past? If you did, didn’t clear the Page Builder data and built over the pages then that might explain what’s happening. If you haven’t used Page Builder by SiteOrigin before then there might be a plugin conflict. You can test that by temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Page Builder to see if the issue persists.
I did use Page Builder in the past…that’s probably the issue then. How would I go about clearing the Page Builder data? I will fumble around and see what I can figure out on my own until a reply. I appreciate the help at least I know where to start now!
Hi,
You can bulk remove all page builder data by using SQL. The following query will remove all page builder layouts from all pages.
If you’re not too sure how to run this query, I recommend reaching out to your hosting provider for assistance.
Please do a backup before running this query.
Kind regards,
Alex
