I have not posted for quite some time on my site but am about to start up again. When I came to the site I updated all plugins and the theme on 6/15/17.
When I tried to create a new post a seeming appropriate URL was shown (http://catherineferrell.com/wp-admin/post-new.php) but the page was completely blank. This was also true when I tried to edit an existing post, note that quick edit worked as expected.
I’ve isolated the problem to SiteOrigin’s Page Builder, when deactivated I am able to post. I have also tried various other combinations, turning off plug-ins that seem to have similar or overlapping functionality and reactivating Page Builder but with no success.
I’ve mentioned the site is on GoDaddy. I know they have their own page builder tool and I wonder if there might be a conflict but I would suspect an issue like that would have arisen already.
Theme: Sydney by aThemes
Page Builder has worked previously and I would like to continue to use it.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Jim
Hi Jim,
Preface: There are no known issues with the GoDaddy Page Builder and ours.
Does this issue occur if only SiteOrigin Page Builder is active? If not, please try activating plugins one by one until this issue occurs again. When it does, deactivate all plugins but SiteOrigin Page Builder and the newly conflicting plugin. Does the issue still occur?
Personally, I suspect the reason you’re not seeing anything is due to reaching the memory limit per page. Please follow the advice outlined in this Codex or this article regarding increasing the memory limit.
