Page Builder not Working after Update

Good morning,
I updated all of my plug-ins yesterday and since the update my site has not formatted correctly. It appears that Page Builder is no longer working on my site. I have one-by-one deactivated plug-ins but the problem remains.
When I go to Page Builder on any one of our pages it indicates that it is NOT installed. (It was installed prior to the updates and we built all of our pages using it.) When I try to reinstall it I receive this message
Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/siteorigin-panels.zip…
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /var/www/hhcwc.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/
Plugin install failed.
I found this https://siteorigin.com/thread/cant-install-page-builder-2/ support thread and it sounds like my next step is to delete the “siteorgin-panels” folder and then try reinstalling Page Builder.
Before I do that I have a question.
I have put a lot of time into formatting our site and am hopeful everything will format correctly again once Page Builder is active. Do I run any risk of “losing” all of my page formatting permanently by deleting the “siteorgin-panels” folder? Are there other steps I should try first?
Thank you for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi hhcwc

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Before we delete the folder let’s take another look at the plugin conflict test. You mentioned:

I have one-by-one deactivated plug-ins but the problem remains.

The plugin conflict test is best done by de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins at once. Only if the issue resolves do you need to re-activate one by one, the point of this second step is to find out which plugin is causing the problem. Can you re-try and see if the test goes any differently? Thanks!

If the plugin test yields the same results then head to /wp-content/plugins/ using FTP or Hosting File Manager and delete the siteorigin-panels folder. Your data is safe in the database, there won’t be any loss from this process. Then go to Plugins > Add New and search for Page Builder, install SiteOrigin Page Builder.

Let us know how you come along.

Thank you for your help, Andrew. I did have to remove siteorigin-panels folder and then reinstall Page Builder. Everything is working fine now. Thank you for your help.
