Page builder not working

Hi guys,

It seems that the page builder feature is not currently working on my site – all plugins are updated, but when I edit a page it can’t seem to load the visual composer and says “Loading, please wait…”

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Synergy,

Preface: I don’t recommend running VC and SiteOrigin Page Builder side by side as it can lead to issues.

To clarify, is it SiteOrigin page Builder that’s having issues or Visual Composer? If it’s the latter, I would recommend contacting Visual Composer’s support.

If it’s the former, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Alex,

‘Page Builder by Site Origin’ is activated, ‘Visual Composer’ is not installed.

When I go to edit a page, the top page edit area says Visual Composer with the message “Loading, please wait…”

I’ve deactivated and reactivated the Page Builder plugin but nothing’s changed.

    Cheers,
    Sam

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Sam,

According to your markup, Visual Composer is active and looks to have bene used to create the homepage.
To clarify, what does your interface look like? Does it look something like this?

    or this?

If that does look like your interface, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Synergy,

Please note that posts aren’t private so please do not post things like passwords as anyone can see them. I’ve logged in and changed the password as a result. I recommend deleting the account you created me.

Thanks. Okay, so your theme is including Visual Composer and the error message looks to be directly related to Visual Composer. I would recommend contacting your theme developers for help on this matter. Sorry mate. :(
