Page Builder not functioning.

Hello, another issue I’m experiencing is a strange one. We’ve recently transferred a website from a dev site to a live site. The Page Builder widget is no longer functioning properly anymore. The content looks completely fine and as it should on the main site. But on the back-end of the site, the plugin isn’t showing in the editor, there’s no page builder option and the content only appears as if it were laid out using the html coding.

We’ve distinguished that it isn’t the back-up file itself, as we’ve uploaded it onto another dev site to test it and the plugin worked completely. We’ve re-uploaded the back-up file onto the live site numerous times with the same results.

So if you have any ideas or experience of this happening, the help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Sophy,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If this doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

Hi Alex, thanks for the advice, after disabling plugins and clearing my browser cache, the plugin functioned normally, and then activated the plugins one by one was fine and the builder is still functioning normally.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Sophy,

Oh, that’s weird. If it happens again (hopefully it doesn’t), try doing another plugin conflict test. Hopefully, you’ll be able to work out what is causing it before it resolves itself again.
