WP version 5.4.2
Theme: OceanWp

Hello,

I have a site that’s about 1.5 years old. I’ve built all pages with Pagebuilder from the beginning.

Recently, Pagebuilder no longer loads on the older pages. If I build a new page today using Pagebuilder, the back-end loads up Pagebuilder correctly.

The older pages no longer load pagebuider.

Here’s what i’ve done so far:

1. Deleted all cache, browser and server-side.
2. De-activated all non-SiteOrigin Plugins.
3. Set back to Default WP theme twentytwenty.

The problem persists.

The pages all open in blocks, and on some of the pages I get the error “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.” On other pages, the error isn’t present but it’s still in blocks mode.

I also installed Classic Editor Plugin to revert back to the classic editor. When I go into a page and try to convert back to Pagebuilder, it completes the conversion but most of the rows of original content are missing so the page is broken.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

Pages with Page Builder content shouldn’t open in the Block Editor. It’s hard to say what happened without investigation. Without the Classic Editor pages with Page Builder content should hold onto the classic format.

When activating the Classic Editor plugin, are the problem pages first loaded in the Text tab? If so, please, could you take a screenshot of the content and upload it to imgur.com or similar? Thanks again.

Hello, thank you for your help.

Yes that’s correct. With classic editor plugin active, when I edit a page, it goes to Text tab.
