Page Builder compatibility with Make

Just installed PB on a new WP site and I am having this same problem. It is most difficult to get PB to initiate while other times if you can get the page built with PB you will loose the PB structures as it has reverted back to WP editor, nasty – full stop. Because we are loyalist, we will tough it out and bear this misery.

Using PB version Version 2.10.5. on WP 5.1.1 all other plugins were deactivated for better testing.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi wb

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

We aren’t able to recreate the issue locally or on our live testing servers.

There are several ways we could troubleshoot the problem. Two that come to mind are:

    Debug:
If you’re able to. Please set WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG to true in your WordPress wp-config.php file. More on that here: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG. The next time an issue occurs, check the debug.log file in /wp-content/ on your server. An error will hopefully be logged.

    Server Setup:
Try installing: https://wordpress.org/plugins/server-ip-memory-usage/. What is the PHP memory limit? And the WP memory limit? If it’s under 256, try setting it to 256 in your wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

Let us know how that goes.

    Thanks

Thank you for your response on this matter. Just a quick note, I did try another page builder (for testing), WP Page Builder and it works. So it may not be a PHP memory limit. Will follow up with your instructions.

Hi Andrew and thank you for your hospitality and assistance. The problem discovered is with a particular theme: Make: https://thethemefoundry.com/wordpress-themes/make/.

Our team is trying to standardize on the theme like Headway which allows the use of SiteOrigin’s Page Builder.

    With much gratitude,

    wB.

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear you’ve made progress.

With Make, you have to change the Page AttributesTemplate from Builder Template to Default Template. How Make is handling this is, unfortunately, not something we can change.

All the best with your project :)
