For my website www.littletigers.eu I’m using Vantage Premium in combination with Page Builder.
Some time ago I noticed Page Builder widget Site Origin Editor couldn’t keep up with my typing.
As I am a two finger typist, this seems very strange.
At the same time Page Builder will, on occasion, refuse to update the new data I’ve entered.
As I have an old laptop (5 years), I originally suspected my laptop. But now I have replaced my HDD
with an SSD, cleaned up my files and memory, and regularly clean the Register and my laptop is working
perfectly now. So this cannot be the cause of the delays.
Can you help me find a solution for this problem?
I’ve already consulted Strato, the company that hosts my site, but they decline any responsibilaty.

It’s possible that there may be a plugin that’s causing extra CPU cycles that cannot be afforded. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

I’ve turned off all non Site Origin plugins and the problem still exsits.
Maybe you could have a look. If you send me an email address, I can add you tot he admin group.
I was thinking of another possibility. Could it be some of the pages are to long or with to much content, as this problem only seems to occur when I edit the pages “Onze Little Tigers” and “Onze Successen”. All other pages are relatively short.

To clarify, it’s possible that long pages could cause you issues as the more data present, the harder your computer will have to work to use / edit the page.

Okay – I’ve been able to replicate performance issues on your site. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to replicate it offsite – although admittedly, I don’t have a copy of all of the images. Could I please mirror your website? This will allow me run tests without it affecting your main website.

Thanks for that. I’ve back your website up and was able to replicate this issue locally – it’s definitely on our end. I’ll log this and get the developers to take a look. In the meantime, I would recommend trying to split pages up. Obviously, it’s not ideal but it’s the only possible workaround at the moment.

Unfortunately, the most I can do is log this issue. I cannot dictate what gets worked on by the development team but I can state that this issue has been given a high priority so it should hopefully be worked on soon. Sorry mate. :(
