Page Builder Hangs

Hi

Page builder hangs after I click on edit.

I have created a number of pages using Page Builder quite successfully. All have a similar format. All have ten rows with one Visual Editor Widget per row. The first Visual has a image stretched and a spacer.

The following nine rows have text only using google fonts css.

For some reason when I get to add the fifth row I can add the visual editor ok and add text. I can update it and then view the page no problem. However when I go back into edit the text in the Visual Editor in the fifth row the Page Editor loads but I get the rotating circle symbol which never clears. (sometimes the attribute panel loads successfully and sometime I get another rotating circle.)

If I then quit out of it, I can edit another row quite happily but get the same problem if I try and reload the fifth visual editor. I have re created the page from scratch and still have the same issue. I have deactivated as many AddIns as I can and am only running the following;

BlackStudio Tiny MCE Widget
Contact Form 7
Customn Password Protect
Easy Googlefonts
Lightbox plus Colourbox
Pagebuilder by SiteOrigin
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
Spacer
Title Remover
WP Smush

I have not experience this problem on any other of the pages I have created.

I am running the latest version of Tesseract theme and SiteOrigin is a recommend Addin by the Theme creator.

I am running the latest version of WordPress.

So what is going on….

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Laserblueexige

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If the above test doesn’t yield results, please, try checking how much PHP memory your installation has available. You can do that using: https://wordpress.org/plugins/server-ip-memory-usage/.

Let us know how that goes :)
