Page Builder, Gutenberg, custom post types, and menu dashicon conflicts

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

**MINOR PROBLEM**

I just switched on Gutenberg for a custom post type. When I edit a custom post type, all of Admin navigation dashicons disappear. Specifically, the

div.wp-menu-image.dashicons-before
is missing the :before css rule, so the dashicon font doesn’t display.

When I deactivate the Page Builder plugin, the dashicons reappear.

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

We’re currently unable to replicate this problem locally or on a testing server. To troubleshoot the problem, please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Page Builder to see if the issue persists. If you’re using a caching or performance plugin, clear it before deactivation. If this test doesn’t help, try the same procedure but with a default theme like Twenty Seventeen activated, that’ll be the ultimate baseline.

    Thank you Andrew!

You are correct, Page Builder is not the problem.

I followed your advice and went through each plugin. “Sidebar Widgets by CodeLights” was the problem.

    Thanks again for your help.
