In Page Builder I created a row and made it a Gallery widget. I was able to add pics and caption them fine, however, when the visitor clicks on the pic I do not want them to be able to comment. I have turned commenting off on posts, but can’t find out how to turn commenting out in the Gallery items.
Hi Venture,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup? I ask as the standard WordPress gallery doesn’t include a comments form so I’m not 100% sure what is adding that. Hm. Are you using Jetpack? If so, that’s likely what’s adding this. To remove that comments form, you’ll need to add some PHP to your website. If you’re not using a child theme, please install Code Snippets and navigate to WP AdminSnippetsAdd New and add this PHP – be sure to click Save Changes & Activate.
If you have a child theme, please add the PHP to your child theme.
Alex,
We are not using Jetpack.
It's odd, but when we use the Gallery widget in a post, there is no commenting, but when we use it in a page, there is.
Here is a screenshot of the page:

When I click on a Gallery pic, I get commenting like on this URL:

I thought the Gallery widget was SiteOrigin, when I guess it is not. Anyway, I appreciate any help you can pass along!
Hi Venture,
Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to process attachments at this time. Can you please upload the screenshot to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me?
Alternatively, can you please link me to a page where I can see an image that, once clicked, will pop up with the comments?
Alex,
The URL is here: http://vdacl.ca/board-of-directors/
Hi Venture,
Thanks. This is happening due to your Gallery settings. Please open the Gallery widget and set the Link To setting to None.
