Page Builder Formatting Disappearing (ThemeTrust)

At the start of the month I had an issue when I created my site on the local host then had to migrate it to the actual site. When I did that, I lost all of my page builder formatting and had to re-do it all. That in itself was frustrating, but once it was completed, all seemed to be well. I got on our site today to check it and it seems that all of the formatting has again disappeared. I’m not sure why this is happening, but I am now in the process of re-building the site for a third time. Uploading backups doesn’t seem to be helping the issue. It’s been about a week since I last checked the site, but when I last checked it was working fine. Is there anything that I can do to figure out what caused this issue? Is it due to updates? I noticed that the theme updated recently (as well as several other plugins that are on auto-update), but I just barley updated it manually hoping that might help alleviate the issue (it did not). Will I have to do this every time something updates on our site? I checked the forums on page builder and couldn’t find much information.

I don’t know where to start in trouble shooting this exactly and how to prevent it from happening in the future. Any help or direction you could give me regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Danigallegos,

Do you happen to use a Theme Trust or a ThinkUpTheme? Both use forks (a version based on our code but not actively developed by us) of SiteOrigin Page Builder that have reported faults with the latest version of WordPress. We recommend directly contacting those theme developers if you’re using any of their themes that come bundled with a forked page builder.

If the above doesn’t apply, let’s try a plugin conflict test.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If the above doesn’t help, could you tell me what theme you’re using and the version number of SiteOrigin Page Builder you’re using? Also, if possible, could you please send me the contents of your console when viewing the broken page? Please refer to this guide (https://www.wickedlysmart.com/hfjsconsole/) on how to access your browser console.

As a warning, if Page Builder isn’t able to load correctly for whatever reason, the default WordPress editor will show. Do not save that or make adjustments as this will lead to data loss. Leaving it as is will allow your pages to function while you debug this issue.

I am using a themetrust theme and have contacted them about this, but have not heard back yet. Thank you for that information that helps me to at least know where I can try to get some answers from.

I am also having the exact same problem with the Create Theme by Trust Trust :-)
