Hi Peter
Try deactivating all plugins so that the only item activated is your theme. Once done, edit a page and open the browser console, are there errors in red? If so, please, take a screenshot, upload to imgur.com or similar and send us a link.
https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis
If your theme is creating JavaScript errors those errors will likely break anything else on the page that relies on JavaScript. That’s most likely what’s happening here. The solution is to ask the theme authors to fix the errors if that’s what’s happening.

Sure, no problem. If you’d like to send us a copy of the theme to test locally, please, upload the theme ZIP file to WeTransfer.com or Dropbox/Drive and send us the link.

Hi Peter
Thanks for the link.
You can resolve the issue with the following plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/. The warnings produced by the helper plugin in relation to the theme are:
jQuery is not compatible with Quirks Mode
jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated
Please, contact the theme authors, let them know that jQuery Migrate was removed from WordPress 5.5. Kindly ask them to test their theme with Page Builder by SiteOrigin in the Classic Editor and then try enabling jQuery Migrate Helper to see the effect and warnings.
Thank you but display warning.
Hi Peter
The forum, unfortunately, doesn’t support email attachments due to the issues we’ve had over the years with Spam control. Kindly upload your screenshot to imgur.com or any cloud site and share the link.
If you’re referring to the warning that jQuery Migrate Helper produces, that’s an expected result, the idea with the plugin is that it’s a short term solution while the authors of the theme or plugins mentioned update their code.

Thanks. The notice is from jQuery Migrate Helper and refers to a function in your theme. That’s an expected result, the idea with the plugin is that it’s a short term solution while the authors of the theme update their code. Please, contact the theme authors, let them know that jQuery Migrate was removed from WordPress 5.5.
