Page Builder doesn’t work on Front Page

Hi,
I have the same problem with my site Sydney theme as in this post
I can’t edit My Front page at all. It worked as usual today. I made a few changes on Front page, and then Page Builder buttons disappeared. I can see only text editor or… nothing. I didn’t change anything in the plugin settings. It works on other pages.
I’ve uploaded WP Rollback plugin, and returned to the previous versions of SiteOrigin Page Builder and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugins. But it did not help :(
Page Builder works on all other pages, except My Front Page.
I would be very grateful for your help!
Regards,
Gala

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gala,

Preface: I would recommend updating the plugin before running these tests as, based on your tests, this issue isn’t related to an update.

Can you try following our general WordPress plugin troubleshooting guide? From the sounds of things, this might fix your issue. Here’s a video on the process:

The first thing to check is server-side caching through plugins like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc. If you have any of these caching/performance plugins installed, try clearing their cache and see if that helps.

It might also be browser cache. Try clearing your browser cache, and then refreshing the page to see if that helps.

You can read more about this sort of issue on the WordPress codex.

Next, you can try running a plugin conflict text. You can start by disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for the answer!
At the moment, the problem has disappeared after updating the plug-in to the latest version (2.5.10)

    UPD
After a few minutes, the page stopped loading at all.
Just a white screen instead of an edit panel :(

    UPD
Looks like Toolbox plugin causes the issue.
I deactivated this plugin and cleared the caches. After that, editing console appeared, so I could edit My Front Page. Then, I re-enabled Toolbox plugin. The issue came back.
I’m not sure if I need Toolbox plugin on my site, but it was recommended by Sydney Theme.
    What should I do now?
Will my site work correctly without Toolbox?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gala,

That’s odd. What happens if only SiteOrigin plugins are enabled and Toolbar? Does the issue persist?

    Hi Alex,

Having followed your advice, I disabled all plugins except SiteOrigin plugins and Toolbar plugin. The issue has gone.
By activating the non-SiteOrigin plugins one by one, I found out that the issue comes back after the re-enabling Ninja Forms plugin. I deactivated Toolbar plugin, and the the issue has gone.
Most likely, the problem is in the conflict of these two plugins. I tried to rollback the Ninja Forms to earlier versions, but the problem did not disappear. Edit panel of Front Page works only when one of them is disabled.

Do you have any thoughts how to fix the conflict of Toolbar and Ninja Forms?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gala,

Just to confirm, you meant toolbox in your reply, right? (just want to make sure)

Honestly, I’m not too sure why it wouldn’t be working. I would recommend getting in contact with aThemes, the developers of both Sydney and the toolbox, to see if they have any ideas.

Oh! I meant Toolset Types plugin.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gala,

Oh, okay – please disregard my last suggestion.

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to replicate this issue. :(
Would it be possible for you to send me an export of your home page? To do this open up your home page in the editor and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
