Page builder does not work on Ipad

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hi super-support!
Nearly everthing works fine now, but not in Ipad.
I have Page builder everywhere. Perhaps its possible to fix it.
Please look here in Ipad: http://strombacksfolkhogskola.se/.
I have Weaver Xtreme 2.0.9.
These Snippets, could I put that somewhere. Now I have the css: .title-single {margin-top:43px;} in Main options/Fonts & Custom/Custom CSS Rules.
I also put this:
@media only screen
and (min-device-width: 768px)
and (max-device-width: 1024px)
and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1) {

}
Perhaps something is wrong when I have both like this:
.title-single {margin-top:43px;}
@media only screen
and (min-device-width: 768px)
and (max-device-width: 1024px)
and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1) {

}
?
I am lost.

    Hi Larsa

    Thanks for reaching out. Can you perhaps clarify what aspect of your Page Builder layout isn’t functioning correctly when viewed on a tablet?

    Hi Andrew

    I am not sure now. In this control page: http://ipadpeek.com/ I did not like the look of our web site. What do think?

    Ahh right, thanks for confirming. The issue is that you’re using empty Page Builder columns and rows for spacing. The problem with this method is that those empty rows and columns stack vertically on mobile/tablet and are causing the problem you’re seeing now. I recommend removing all of the spacer rows and columns and instead use the Layout tab provided on the right when editing a row, there you can add bottom margin. Let us know how that goes.

    Hi again. I dont know what you mean. For example, if I want the objects 15% on the right, how do you mean I can do that without using empty column behind?

    If I need to do it completely on the right, left or center I anderstand that I dont need more columns and that isnt any problem.

    One more thing is when I want text underneath a image in one column 100%. Image centered but not the text/ letters. Sorry for my bad english.

    Opps… when I clicked Replay, the replay before shows my explanation not as I wanted.
    (Not like this) Should be shown like this. Ignore the stars letters!

    To put it another way. Because of responsive behaviour, you should not use empty columns or rows for spacing. If you see a column or row in your layout that has no widgets in it OR a row or column that has blank widgets, remove that row or column.

    Please, see the following images that visually show the problem:

    Yes I know what is the problem. The issue was how place the post exactly there. Probably you want me to write left margin in the css in Layout tab in one column. I shall try that.
    Thank you Andrew for giving me so much of your time.

    This does not work: margin-left:20;
    If I want this only column 80%, not 100%, how do I do that?
    It is because of that I have two emty columns besides.

    I want margin on both sides (left and right), not on top or bottom.

    On first page we have more margin then on the other pages.
    In the Layout tab I can get the margin only around the hole raw or at the bottom and I dont want that.

    Super, really glad to hear you’ve made progress. My intention was to first solve the layout issue and then address any spacing/margin problems after that. That’s great that you’ve made progress.

    All the best :)
