Page Builder causing Internal Server Error on multi-site set up

Hi,

I have been using the SiteOrigin Page Builder plugin for a long time, and have up to now not encountered any problems – in fact, I consider it an essential tool, which is why this problem is causing me a great deal of frustration.

I have a WordPress multi-site set up, with my own site being the main link here, and my other web projects being like this one.

As you will see for the latter link, it is currently giving me a 500 Internal Server Error. I have traced this down to being a problem with one of my plugins, and after testing it several times I have determined it is Page Builder that is causing this issue. Every time I activate the plugin, it breaks the FODS site. But what I find strange is that it is not having the same problem elsewhere on my network.

I was wondering if you could provide me with some guidance as to why I am encountering this problem on this particular link, and any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
James

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi James,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? I ask because there are no known issues with our plugins and Multisite so it’s very likely another plugin is conflicting with our plugins rather than our plugin solely causing this issue. You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
