Page Builder – can’t update or preview pages

Hello,
I am having the same problem as Kc Ca since few days ago when I updated few plugins including Page Builder by SiteOrigin.
I am not able to not only preview or update pages, but also edit them at all in the WordPress Dashboard.

I disabled all my plugings except Page Builder by SiteOrigin and problem is still persisting.
I would greatly appreciate your help!

Anna

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anna,

Do you happen to use a Theme Trust or a ThinkUpTheme? Both use forks (a version based on our code but not actively developed by us) of SiteOrigin Page Builder that have reported faults with the latest version of WordPress. We recommend directly contacting those theme developers if you’re using any of their themes that come bundled with a page builder.

If this isn’t the case please ensure you’re using the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder. If you are, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi Alex,

    Thank you for your response!

I am using a theme Sydney by aThemes – and this theme did require instaling SiteOrigin Page Builder to obtain full functionality of the theme. Should I then contact them to try resolving the issue?

I did deactivate ALL the plugins from the page except of the Page Builder and the issue was still there. I am using Page Builder 2.4.9 so the latest version.
I then deactivated and activated back the Page Builder and that broke the site further – when I go to edit the page in wordpress dashboard I do not even see Page Builder any more.

The site I am building is in the staging state (not live). I have simpler version of the site (under construction) with the same Theme and WordPress version but with 2.4.8 version of the Page Builder and that site is still working as it should (avle to edit pages, preview, update).

I have created a new user as per your instructions on the staging site. Please let me know if you were able to log in.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anna,

It’s very unlikely it’s related to aThemes so I should be more than able to handle this issue but please feel free to contact them regardless.

Sorry about that – I clicked the canned reply button and accidently posted my reply too soon – I know you’ve run the plugin conflict test.

I have no received the WordPress email notification (you’ll know when I do as you’ll get notified of it too). Could you please resend it?

    Hi Alex,

I don’t seem to have “Send Password” button. I re-created the account and I only saw “Send the new user an email about their account.”
I hope it is going to work this time.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Alex,

    I am sorry for this!
As of today things are magically working again. I have not touched it during the weekend and I was about to rebuild the site today from scratch, but I logged it and everything is in place and working!
I was able to activate back all the plugins and it is still OK!

Thank you very much for the assistance!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Alan,

It’s a security risk for you to use the above email address for an account on your website. Not to suggest that Anna will do anything (in fact it’s highly unlikely) but it’s not worth risking it. As such, I’m going to delete your post.

Please start a new thread with your issue. This will remove the security risk (as only you would be able to reset the password and see it).
