Hello,
My website is very slow, and i have identified that Page Builder(by SiteOrigin – 14.4283 sec – 38.32% ) is using a lot of resources together with (Sitepress Multilingual Cms – 13.5872 sec – 36.09%).
Any idea what i could do to reduce this resource consumption?
Best Regards,
Cédric
Hi Cedricheeb,
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Ok, i have added you as administrator on both sites
Hi Cedricheeb,
I’ve taken a look at your websites, and I’ve run some tests. Have you got any reason to suspect SiteOrigin Page Builder? As far as I can see you have 69 plugins active on one site and 70 on another and you seem to be running out of memory a lot. I would recommend either disabling plugins, or increasing your servers memory.
Hello!
Maybe it’s not siteorigin issue as you say. It’s just that I did run a report and it did have the highest loading time.
Where do you see it runs out of memory?
I will run this report again to see.
Best Regards,
Cédric

Hi Cedricheeb,
I saw the memory error on the p3 page, and on the plugin page itself (although it was gone when I went to go check for it again). The p3 plugin is not reliable when you have a lot of active plugins enabled as such I would take everything it tells you with a grain of salt. Plus, if it runs out of memory during the test it will increase the times dramatically so.
I’ve run some remote tests and your homepage typically loads in 10 seconds on initial load. While this isn’t super fast, it does contradict what p3 is telling you.
The best cause of action to resolve this issue is still my previous recommendation; get more memory installed or preferably, disable a lot of your plugins. For reference, I’ve done a lot of work in the past optimising websites and typically I aim for no more than 35 active plugins at a time and even then that’s pushing it.
Ok, thank you very much for this. Will look at it in detail to see which plugin I can disable.
Have a nice day,
Hi Cedricheeb,
Let us know how it goes. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
