Please can you help me.
I am using the vantage theme and I paid for the premium upgrade
Today I updated my wordpress to version 4.1 and my website has broken!!!
i.e. my homepage and all other pages where I am using the SiteOrigin Page Builder widgets are ruined!!!

I updated all my plugins before updating wordpress to 4.1 but I made the mistake of not updating the vantage theme beforehand.
1.PLEASE ADVISE HOW CAN I FIX THIS.
I regret using your Page Builder widgets because this seems to be causing the problem.
The home page also uses Meta Slider Pro and did look similar to my other site http://johngubba.com/
http://johngubba.com/ also uses the Vantage theme but I have not updated this to WordPress 4.1 because i do not want the same thing to happen!!!!
2. Please advise how to avoid the same problem with this other site.

everything in the header is also not displaying as previously designed.
On a full-size computer screen – instead of being in a line – the logo, social media icons and sub text are now on 3 lines – which is how it was displaying responsively on a smartphone.
I have tried re-building the home page without using pagebuilder and here is what I get

Using pagebuilder the original version was 3 columns with text either side of the images in a gallery, which I preferred and it filtered down to one column responsively on a smartphone.
Is there an idiot’s guide to using Gallery PB because I can no longer select images to out in the gallery. Maybe I am just not remembering how to do this . But I have spent several hours trying to work this out and conclude the upgrade has me beaten.

Virtue Toolkit:
The fatal errors are coming from the Virtue Toolkit plugin. Do you still need this? The description is:
Custom Portfolio and Shortcode functionality for Virtue and Pinnacle WordPress Theme
If you’re no longer using it please de-activate and delete it.
Header:
There appear to be selectors missing from the parent stylesheet. I’d recommend re-installing the parent theme. The ZIP file for doing so can be located using the following form: https://siteorigin.com/orders/
Gallery (PB):
This widget is unfortunately now in a legacy state. The missing Add Media button won’t be resolved. We recommend migrating over to the Visual Editor widget. It has an Add Media button and can be used in the same way. If you need to migrate a gallery from Gallery (PB) to Visual Editor you can. On the page concerned, click over to the regular Text tab, the one next to Visual. Find the gallery shortcode in square brackets and copy it. Now go back into Page Builder, insert a Visual Editor widget, click over to it’s own Text tab and insert your gallery shortcode.

Had the same problem. I deactivated ALL plugins and reactivated them one by one and checking each time for problems. The culprit in my particular case was the plugin below:

Although the plugin is up to date and compatible with WP 4.1, it may have issues with Vantage Premium or Page Builder, because it caused havoc with our ability to design or edit our Vantage/Page Builder website until it was disabled.

I only tested this solution inside of our site’s Vantage template, I am not interested in issues pertaining to other templates. However, it could be a Page Builder compatibility issue – I don’t care; my problem is solved! Now everything is back to normal… Hope this helps!
