Page Builder breaks Gutenberg Classic Block & page WP-Admin Layout in general

Hi,

On a site with Page Builder installed, and enabled for the “Page” post type, I have a Page that does not use Page Builder. On this page there’s a title, and a Gutenberg classic block. When trying to edit the page that doesn’t use Page Builder the icons in the admin bar become squares, the layout of the left-hand menu becomes somewhat wonky, many TinyMCE icons become invisible, and some TinyMCE functionality breaks, (for example, clicking the button to create/edit a link does nothing).

These problems don’t seem to exist on pages that do use Site Builder.

Is there a way to change a non-Site Builder page into a Site Builder page, (I could copy & paste my content if needed)?

I can provide screencasts of the bug in action and more detailed reproduction steps if needed.

Thanks,

John

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Unfortunately, I’m unable to replicate this issue. Can you try disabling all SiteOrigin plugins and see if this stops the issue from occuring? If it does, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Thanks, I did some more stripping-down and found that the problem only happens when both SiteOrigin Page Builder and Black Studio TinyMCE Widget are active. I’m going to see if I can live without the TinyMCE Widget plugin.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

Thanks for letting me know – I’ve logged this with the development team. Please report this issue to Black Studio TinyMCE Widget.

If you’re using the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, the SitOrigin Editor widget is equivalent to the Visual Editor added by Black Studio TinyMCE Widget.

Thanks, I’ll head over to the Black Studio site in a moment.

We’re not using the SiteOrigin Widgets bundle at the moment, but we may switch if this doesn’t resolve some other way.
