Page builder appending n characters on every line break.

So it would seem that when my boss goes to make edits to a page via page builder when he updates the page it appends rand n characters seemingly where a line break would be normally.
For example in a list widget which would be displayed like the bellow example
*Expert On-Site Support
*Dedicated Technical POC
*Managed Antivirus
On saving the page it would then be displayed like so
*Expert On-Site Supportn*Dedicated Technical POCn*Managed Antivirus
My boss is using chrome on a mac and I can not replicate the issue outside of his environment, has anyone encountered this before?
The whole point of using a wordpress framework was so that he can edit it himself and if this keeps happening I am going to be a very sad panda.
Thank you all very much in advance,
-Zach

Having same problem running WIN7. Fiddled with it for couple hours rebuilding the pages in different ways using the builder, text, visual. No helpful solution from me yet.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Zach

Sorry to hear about this issue. I have seen a problem like this with the list widget before but can’t remember exactly what the case was. Please check my comments below and ensure content isn’t being edited via the Visual or Text tabs. You could also consider swapping the List widget out and replacing it with the Visual Editor widget. Although in local testing we’re not currently seeing any issues with the List widget. Do you get this error when you yourself edit this widget?

cxP, Page Builder content can’t be edited via the Visual or Text tabs. Page Builder content can only be edited via Page Builder. The same goes for content added into the Visual/Text tabs, that can’t be edited via Page Builder. If you need a text editor in Page Builder please use the Visual Editor widget. To get access to this widget first install: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/.

It seems to only be in my boss’s environment which is a mac pro running Mavericks and Chrome V. 38. It is also occurring across all fields he trys to edit. There was also an occurrence where his commit eliminated all custom html inside of a text/html widget.

I was able to replicate the issue with him, he is going directly through page builder, clicks the edit button on a widget, everything looks normal in the edit window, if you look at the modified content before updating the page it also seems fine, however when you update and view the page there are n’s on every line break, and every time you update the page it will append another to which ever field you modify.

I feel it definitely has something to do with the appention of \n on page commit and it just parsing it as a n instead of line break.

Again this is only on his system, for me everything works fine.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the extra info. That’s not an unusual setup being run there – I’m running the same. If you could get some testing time on that machine, some standard troubleshooting steps would be to:

    1. Run any pending updates and Dashboard > Updates.
    2. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and re-test. If the issue looks resolved, you’d then re-activate plugins one by one, each time checking the problem.

It might be worth looking at managing lists and HTML using the Visual Editor widget. Visual Editor widget could do lists in it’s regular view and you could insert HTML via it’s Text tab. Just an idea.
