Page Builder and Soliloquy featured content slider error

8 years ago · Last reply by laudesign 8 years ago

Hi, I have been experiencing pretty much the same error as in this recent thread: https://siteorigin.com/thread/page-builder-and-soliloquy-slider-featured-content-plugin-webserver-error/ – I tried to reply there but it said comments are closed.

I got my first Soliloquy featured content slider working with page builder with no problems but any others result in page load errors (504 or blank page). Have tried adding other sliders to both the same page and a new page with no luck. I have enabled WP_DEBUG but can’t see any error messages and there is no log as of yet.

Page where Soliloquy featured slider is working with page builder: http://www.carbonplan.co.uk/ld/

Page where second slider (with same settings but different post type) is not working with page builder – either as Soliloquy widget or shortcode in text widget: http://www.carbonplan.co.uk/ld-2/

As in the previous thread, the second featured content slider works fine in the standard WordPress editor.

Hope you can help – just let me know if you need any further info.

Thanks,

Loz

    Hi Loz,

Can you please enable WP_DEBUG? This will result in the linked (the one with the isuse) having an error messsage present. To do this you’ll need to edit wp-config.php.

Thanks for getting back Alex – sorry for not replying sooner – WP_DEBUG was enabled and the only error codes that related to either plugin were for Soliloquy (pasted below in case they’re useful to anyone) – I have also been in touch with Soliloquy support, who initially thought the issue was with page builder. They are continuing to look into it but just thought I’d update you here.

There is definitely a conflict with the two plugins but hard to pinpoint out what is causing it, as they work fine together with some sliders but not others – there don’t seem to be any common factors I can find so far. WP_DEBUG isn’t displaying error messages on the front end – only in the log and trying to debug through Chrome on the affected page doesn’t bring up anything.

Hopefully I’ll hear back from Soliloquy soon – will update.

    Cheers,

    Loz
