Page builder and currency conversion

Hello,

In using the woocommerce product widget by page builder to display my products, Im experiencing a problem with
currency conversion. The currency symbol changes but not the price itself. On the single products page there is no
problem converting the prices, but the products widget wont do it. I tried three different currency converters to no avail!.

Has anyone had this issue ?.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Jakob

    Hi Jakob

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Thanks

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for responding to my question.
As of now the currency plugin is switched off because it is not functioning.

    Hi, I Work Here

    * Are you inserting the WooCommerce Products widget into Page Builder?
    * Which currency plugin are you using?
    * Does the currency plugin work when you insert a WooCommerce Products widget into a regular theme widget area like the sidebar?

    HI Andrew,

Im using a products widget that came with my theme that is made with page builder.
The widget is called “Create Woocommerce products” by themetrust.

I have tried unsuccessfully with three currency converter plugins :
WooCommerce All in One Currency Converter,
    WooCommerce Currency Switcher,
    WooCommerce Multi Currency,

I currently have the products widget in the sidebar area,
    but does not work.

    Hi, I Work Here

Please, could you check to see if currency conversion works with the core WooCommerce Products widget in Page Builder. If currency conversion doesn’t work with either the ThemeTrust or the WooCommerce Products widget in Page Builder then test both of those widgets in a regular theme widget area to see if there is any change. That’ll give you an idea of where the problem is.

Both widgets are out of our control though…

    Hi, I Work Here

There might also be an issue with how the currency plugin targets products. The above test should let us know. If the currency plugins can’t target the core WooCommerce Products widget in a regular theme sidebar widget area then it’s unlikely they’d work in Page Builder.

    Thanks!

The only other products widget that I can see is the “”products list””,
however this actually converts the currencies correctly..

I dont see a “”Woocommerce products”” widget, only the on called create Woocommerce products ?.

    Best regards,
    Jakob

    Hi, I Work Here

Here is the default WooCommerce products widget: https://imgur.com/a/UyIvMLa. Sounds like you found it.

Next, you’d have to ask one of the currency plugin authors, how are they targetting products and why the plugin isn’t working for the ThemeTrust widget.

Ok, thanks. I already asked one author who could give me any
    useable answer.

I dont really get why there is a problem here, it is pretty basic function of an online
    store which is missing ?.

    Jakob

    Hi, I Work Here

ThemeTrust have created a custom products widget. The third-party currency conversion plugins you’re using aren’t compatible with that widget. That’s the situation. Either ThemeTrust has to figure out why their widget doesn’t work with the currency plugins you’ve tried or the currency plugins have to figure out why their plugin doesn’t work with the ThemeTrust widget.

Also, be sure to test the ThemeTrust widget in a regular sidebar area with the currency plugins to check if they work in that configuration.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for the detailed answer.
I will take it up ThemeTrust, again!.

    Hi, I Work Here

    For sure :) Good luck.

(During troubleshooting discussions, you can always take Page Builder out of the discussion by showing the problem in a regular theme widget sidebar area. This is helpful if the issue is blamed on Page Builder and if actually, Page Builder isn’t the issue.)
