Page builder adds a lot of empty rows after saving

Hi,

I’m using the Vantage theme together with page builder to use Custom Home Page Builder. The page builder version I’m using is 1.5.3 and WordPress is version 4.0. When I start now from scratch, adding a new row (no rows exists at that point), add a widget and click on save home page, it adds almost 40 empty rows beneath it. This creates a large piece of empty space on the home page after the widget.

Is this problem known to you, any solutions for it?

Thanks!
Rogier

    Hi Rogier

    Thanks for running Vantage.

Sorry to hear about this challenge you’re facing. Please could you try temporarily de-activating all non-SiteOrigin plugins and re-test the home page. If the problem is resolved, re-activate your plugins one by one while doing a test after each activation.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply. I expected your suggestion and tried it out this morning, unlucky enough that gave no solutions.

What I noticed if I use one row, delete all the empty rows and save the homepage it still gives me a whole set of new empty rows. But on the frontend I don’t see any extra spacing.

If I however use one row, leave the extra empty rows as they are and click save, it will add another 40 empty rows and it shows a big empty space on the frontend just below the widget I’m using.

So there’s a workaround, just not a nice one :)

    Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the late reply. Well in the end the client for the website decided to use something completely different on the homepage and therefore not using the custom homepage builder anymore…

But I managed just before that to figure out what the problem was. The plugin for bol.com for partners was the one making sure the homepage builder was behaving so strange….

    So kinda solved :)

    Thanks for the support!
