I read about this issue in several places (with one issue submitted a year ago) but I just tested the page break and it still does not work with Page Builder.
Inserting `<!–nextpage–>` in the editor widget, does create a next page but pagination does not work.
Will this be fixed anytime soon?
Hi Design4life,
Could you please clarify what plugin you’re using to add nextpage? To clarify, this functionality doesn’t come in the base version of WordPress.
Also, if possible, can you please link me to the thread you’re referencing so that I can get a better idea of the context?
Hello Alex, what do you mean this functionality doesn come with WordPress? using
we can create next pages.

also there are posts about page links:
– Thread: Page Builder and next page issue
– Thread: how do i implement page breakes in my pages
there was one more in the WordPress support page that I can’t find right now
but yeah, the page break does not work
Hi Design4life,
I stand corrected – I honestly thought it was removed. Sorry about that!
Oddly, I’m able to get it working without issue while using Twenty sixteen (and Vantage) and the latest version of Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle. Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this test page? To do this open up the relevant page and click layout in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Hum, thats weird because I tried using the same theme (Twenty sixteen) and it doesnt work.
The layout is pretty simple, just 3 rows, and middle row containing a widget with next page tag
here is the export :

Hi Design4life,
Hm, it looks when you add a few non-editor widgets things go bad. I’ll log this as an issue – we never actually saw the previous report.
thanks, do you have an estimate when this is going to be fixed? will this be prioritized?
Hi Design4life,
Unfortunately, I can’t provide any sort of ETA on this sort of stuff as I really don’t know – it’s up to the development team. I can say that it’s very unlikely to be prioritized due to how little it’s used and how few reports we’ve about it. Sorry mate. :(
