Overlapping Rows or Widgets Possible?

Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to overlap 2 rows or widgets. Basically what I’m trying to do is have an image in a visual editor widget overlapped by another visual editor widget with text in it and a grey background so the text is legible over the image. The text widget would basically be a bar centered vertically over the image. When I try this with negative margins, the text overlaps the image but the background of the text widget goes behind the image in the image widget. Make sense? So, I need image > grey background > text, but what I end up with is grey background > image > text. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dsb0328,

You can do this by applying the background image to the row/column and then apply the gray background to the text widget directly. If you would like to center the text widget you can do this by opening up the row that houses it and heading over to the row styles sidebar. Open the Layout settings group and set the padding to 0, then set the padding to 25% 0 25% 0 – how does that look?

You could also accomplish this by using a SiteOrigin Hero widget which will be easier than the above-outlined method.
