    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob

Head to Appearance > Home Page, turn that feature on. Insert the content widgets you’d like to use and then below that insert a Post Loop widget to pull your posts feed.

If you need a rich text widget for Page Builder (Appearance > Home Page uses Page Builder), please try the following plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/. Once it’s installed you can use a widget called Visual Editor to manage text.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply Andrew,

I am trying to use two or three sentences on my blog page http://bestnetlook.com/BT/frequent-questions-2/ to introduce the posts, however the comments don’t show up, only the posts show on this page. I have chosen the home page to be a static page and designated the blog page above to be the page where posts appear.

    I appreciate your help.

    Bob

    Hi, I Work Here

The Blog page doesn’t render content so you’ll need to try the following.

    1. Go to Blog page, change page template to Default or Full Width.
    2. On that same page click over to the Page Builder tab.
    3. Insert a Text widget then insert a Post Loop widget.

Basically the same instructions as before except now you’re going to Pages > Blog instead of Appearance > Home Page.

Tried your suggestion but it did not work.

    Hi, I Work Here

Could you perhaps expand upon that a little? If your goal is to have a blog of static content above your blog feed. Then using Page Builder to add a Text widget, followed by a Post Loop widget, with the Page Template set to Default, would be the way to do this.

Sure. I would like for the page to look like this:

    Static Content –

Newcomers to digital marketing often have questions. This page will host periodic comments on digital marketing to answer these questions.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the info.

What happened when you tried my instructions?

    1. Go to Blog page, change page template to Default or Full Width.
    2. On that same page click over to the Page Builder tab.
    3. Insert a Text widget, enter your static text.
    4. Insert a Post Loop widget.

The page was already Default Template. That plus Archives and Without Page Title are the only choices. I added a PB Text widget and added my static content. I added a PB Post Loop and set cat=1 which is what is the number in the uncategorized category. When that didn’t work I changed to: category_name=uncategorized.

WHen I saved and refreshed the page the content still did not show up, only two posts.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks, I’m with you. Please head to Settings > Reading and check that the page you’re working isn’t set as the Posts Page. If it is, de-select it from that drop down menu.
